THE
SCHOOL PROFILE
Janayjanay Elementary school has an area of Five Hundred Fourteen (514) Square Meters. The lot is donated by the Barangay to Deped just recently (sy 2010-2011). Located in the northern part of San Jose and is seven to eight kilometers away from the District Office. Currently, it is the seventh largest elementary school in the district in terms of school children population with an enrolment of 200 graders and 26 kinder pupils as of 2012-2013.
To promote quality education, the school follows the K-12 curriculum and in this, comes the Vision and Mission undertaken by the school with support of stakeholder. The curriculum is composed of five major subjects namely; English, Mathematics, Science, Filipino, and MAKABAYAN which has the components of EPP, MSEP,HEKASI and Edukasyong Pag-uugali or Character Education.
As to the school personnel, there are seven (7) classroom teachers and One (1) Head Teacher. The teaching staff are working hand in hand and are committed in the service gearing towards the achievement and realization of the School’s Vision and Mission.
With regards to school site, the area is donated by the Late Anselmo S. Cagalitan to the Barangay and the Barangay subdivide it and donated to the Department of Education an area of Five Hundred Fourteen (514) square meters for the Elementary School site. The school has access to electrical power paid by the school through MOOE funds and has a piped water supply given by the Barangay for free. There are only four (4) standard classrooms in the school and is occupied by four classes, the other classes are held on borrowed rooms from the Barangay and temporary buildings constructed through the help of the LGU and PTA.
